JOHANNESBURG – Africa recorded a trade surplus of R12.53 billion in June, with a revised record surplus of R18.365 billion in May, data from your national revenue agency showed on Friday.
Exports inched up 0.7% to R105.2 billion on the month-on-month basis, while imports were up 7.6% to R92.7 billion, the South African Revenue Service said in the statement.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a trade surplus of R7.2 billion.
