JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s business confidence index rose to 95.1 points in June from 91.8 in May, boosted by improvements in export volumes and approved building plans and even lower inflation, a rebased survey showed .
The South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sacci) stated it was adjusting the beds base year to 2015 from 2010.
“The recaptured index points (between May and June) is undoubtedly an indication that your pace of deterioration in the business climate and the economy sometimes have plateaued,” Sacci said in a statement.?
