National vehicle rentals group AMT Group, that has its head offices in Leeds, has hosted a golf day in aid of UK Youth, the nation’s largest national body with the youth sector.
Fourteen teams comprising suppliers, customers and manufacturers from round the UK joined AMT for any golf day and dinner which had been hosted by Nigel Mansell CBE.
The event, which included a charity raffle as well as a charity auction, raised over 15,000 for UK Youth which delivers informal education opportunities for adolescents located in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This total was included with other fundraising undertaken that week by Mr Mansell, taking total to around 30,000 which had been donated on the charity with the AMT event.
The day included various competitions when using the Best Team Score competition being won by S&G Response.
“As well as supporting an advisable charity, our inaugural golf day would have been a great possiblity to pile up our suppliers and customers from across the country to have a game of golf from a fabulous Yorkshire setting, while also going for valuable networking opportunities,” said Neil McGawley, md of AMT Group.
Established in 1995, AMT Group is actually a privately operated business employing 180 staff about the UK, along with a 65-strong team at its head office on Armley Road.
