January producer inflation slows

JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s producer inflation slowed in order to 5.9% year-on-year in January from 7.1% in December, the stats agency said on Thursday.

On a month-on-month basis, PPI inched lower to 0.4% from 0.5% the past month, Statistics Africa said.
