Sen. Lindsey Graham on Sunday said the Senate Judiciary Committee should hold a hearing on Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, telling CNN’s “State in the Union” the decision merits extra scrutiny “to ensure that it was not politically motivated.”
“I think we owe it for the average American to enjoy a hearing while in the Judiciary Committee, where Mr. Sessions, Attorney General Sessions, comes forward with whatever documentation he has got with regards to the firing, and present Mr. McCabe the opportunity to defend himself,” said Graham (R-S.C.), who sits about the committee.
