Sheffield-based Interior decorating, a supplier of furniture, has acquired Optiplan Kitchens and the Manor Cabinet Company, a move which increases the size of the target audience that can are in possession of a turnover of 50 million.
The Optiplan and Manor businesses will come together to form an outside kitchen business within Decor in your home. Manor designs and manufactures bespoke kitchens which are sold through Optiplan showrooms, via Manor’s own shops and direct to architects and housebuilders.
The new group are going to be headed-up by Home Decor’s existing CEO Max Crosby-Browne. ?Home Decor’s current Commercial Director Mark Gledhill have been appointed Sales and Marketing Director from the new kitchen business and Neil Martin has joined as Sales Director with the Decor in your home bedroom business. Jason Limbert, Chief Operating Officer should have the responsibility for leveraging Operational and provides Chain synergies round the group so that you can keep the continuing development of your Kitchen and Bedroom sections.
The acquisition was funded by investment from your own home Decor’s majority shareholder, Cerberus Capital Management, alongside a whole new funding package from HSBC. Purchasing and associated fundraising was led by Home Decor’s Head of Acquisitions, Nick Clarke, with banking support from Chris Alsop, Relationship Director at HSBC Corporate Banking.
Crosby-Browne said: “This acquisition is a hugely exciting move for Interior decor and an important strategic step up achieving our growth plans. We’ll will have two distinct sections which together usually provide customers a very integrated offering.?
